  • Co mohu darovat?
Oblečení dámské, pánské i dětské. Jakékoliv sezóny. Kabelky, boty, bižuterii a doplňky. Bytový textil, nádobí i moderní knihy. To, co již sami neupotřebíte, ale někdo jiný si rád koupí. *Tip: Kousky, které už nejsou zachovalé a vhodné k prodeji můžete darovat do textilních kontejnerů.
  • What clothes can I donate?
Clothes - women's, men's and children's - for all seasons and all sizes. The one you no longer wear, but someone else is happy to buy. Ill-fitting cut, inappropriate gift or even never-worn pieces still with a price tag! Clothes without defects and clean, from spring to winter. *Tip No. 1: You can donate pieces that are no longer preserved and therefore suitable for sale in textile containers. *Tip No. 2: Nice men's and children's clothes are the most precious to us. This tends to be very lacking in good quality.
  • Can I donate things other than clothes?
Yes! We sell a lot more in our stores. In addition to clothing, you can also donate: footwear (women's, children's, men's) accessories (e.g. handbags, hats, scarves, shawls, belts, etc.). all jewellery home textiles (e.g. bed linen, towels, curtains, tablecloths, etc.) glass and ceramics (eg tableware, kitchen equipment, vases and decorations) toys and children's items (e.g. strollers, car seats, children's textiles) *Tip: Handbags and shoes in good condition are rare for us.
Následně jej prodáme v obchodech v Ostravě a Praze. Veškerý zisk z prodeje putuje k 6-ti českým neziskovým organizacím. Více informací o podporovaných organizacích najdete ZDE.
  • Where can I donate?
There are several ways to donate: 1) FROM ANYWHERE - Thanks to the cooperation with Zásilkovna, you can send a package of gifts up to 5 kg from any delivery point of Zásilkovna for free more HERE. 2) IN STORES - You can bring the gift in person to any of our stores. You can find the addresses HERE. 3) IN PUBLIC PLACES - 4) IN STOCK - If you have a large amount of donations and you are from Ostrava, you can donate at our central warehouse during opening hours.
Ano! Adresy našich obchodů naleznete ZDE.
  • What happens to donated clothes?
All donations first go to the central warehouse in Ostrava, where our ladies sort them - according to quality, type and season. The clothing is then distributed to our stores in Ostrava and Prague. We do not receive any subsidies or grants for our operation. That is why we will first cover our operating costs and then donate all profit from sales to 6 Czech non-profit organizations. You can find more information about supported organizations HERE.
  • Can I donate electricity?
We cannot sell electrical appliances because we do not provide a warranty. But a lot of it is useful for our operation. E.g. mobile phones, vacuum cleaners, computers, microwaves, kettles, refrigerators, etc.
  • What non-profits do you support?
Information about supported projects can be found HERE.
  • How does support work?
Our goal is to create free finance. We donate all profits from sales to selected projects freely and in confidence. We do not ask for proof of how the funds were handled, nor do we limit their use. All this thanks to the fact that we know the supported projects well.
  • How is support paid?
Before the pandemic, we paid support to non-profit projects every month, when based on the deadline it was clear how much money we had spent. The closing of the retail store due to the Covid - 19 disease made us reassess the situation. Now we are going through a transformation and we are anxiously awaiting what the government has in store for us. In the case of stably open stores, we are preparing a model of paying contributions on a quarterly basis so that our economic situation is as stable as possible.
  • How were the supported projects selected?

  • Are you going to support other projects as well?
Yes. As Moment grows, it gradually adds other supported non-profits. Our goal is to expand the community of donors, open new stores and, thanks to this, support more non-profit projects.
  • What happens to the money from the sale?
We are a non-profit organization, we sell donated items and donate all profits to supported projects. Our collection and sale of objects takes place within the framework of a registered public collection. It is therefore governed by Act No. 117/2001 Coll With your purchase, you are contributing to the public collection account maintained for the non-profit company Moment Czech Republic.
  • What is a public collection?
Our operation is legislatively governed by the Public Collection Act. We publicly collect both material donations (clothes, etc.) and then collect funds in exchange for these donations. So this is not a classic retail store. We are therefore not subject to EET, nor do we issue receipts.
  • Is it possible to complain about the goods?
We do not claim or exchange goods. We do not refund money. We always try to find a way to reach a mutual agreement, but since we sell second-hand clothes, we cannot determine after a few days whether the possible defect was already on the clothes at the time of sale. In general, there is no legal obligation to claim second-hand goods. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Why don't you issue receipts?
From the point of view of legislation, we are not a retailer in the true sense of the word. Our collection and sale of objects takes place within the framework of a registered public collection. It is therefore governed by Act No. 117/2001 Coll We are not subject to EET, we do not pay VAT and we do not provide guarantees for the goods sold. We operate on the principle of community support - we connect donors with buyers and donate the proceeds to those in need.
